Late in 2018 Wing was approached by a family in Haverford to turn the trunk of a large oak tree that had been badly damaged in a storm into a symbol of special importance to the family, a towering ice cream cone. The family, heirs to Potts Ice Cream, wanted a tribute to their ice cream ancestors. And who doesn’t love ice cream?

So in the spring of 2019 Wing got to work, stripping off the thick ivy, bark, and outer wood before reaching and revealing the latent the form within.
